AVR Theatre School is delighted to present Sister Act JR., the feel-good musical comedy packed with fantastic songs, big laughs, brilliant characters and plenty of energy!

Based on the hit 1992 film and the hugely popular Broadway musical, Sister Act JR. follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, whose life takes an unexpected turn when she witnesses a crime and is placed in protective custody in the last place anyone would think to look for her – a convent!

Disguised as a nun, Deloris soon finds that convent life isn't quite her style. But when she meets the struggling choir, she brings a little disco attitude, a lot of personality and her incredible love of music to the sisters. Before long, they're raising the roof – and attracting rather more attention than Deloris had planned!

Featuring music by Alan Menken, the award-winning composer behind Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Little Shop of Horrors, this uplifting show is bursting with gospel-inspired music, dancing, comedy and heart.
